Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung surveys Vung Chua mountain

On the afternoon of May 14, comrade Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, surveyed Vung Chua mountain in the area where the Project of the connecting road from Quy Hoa Science and Education Urban Area to Long Van Urban Area (Quy Nhon City) will be implemented. Accompanying him were comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the City Party Committee, Quy Nhon City People's Committee and related departments, branches and sectors.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung listened to the Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board - the project investor, and the design consultant report on the project preparation steps. According to Decision No. 1086/QD-UBND dated March 31, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the investment and construction policy, the connecting road is built according to the standards of grade III roads, mountainous terrain (TCVN 4054-2005) with the goal of increasing the connection between the two urban areas in general, between the Science Space Complex and the Artificial Intelligence Center - Auxiliary Urban Area (Quy Nhon City) in particular.

Thereby, meeting the requirements of expanding urban space for Quy Nhon City, exploiting the potential of ecological space in the Vung Chua mountain area, especially the eastern slope of Vung Chua mountain; developing land funds along the route, exploiting the potential of eco-tourism , experiencing unique sea-mountain connections. Increasing mobility, ensuring national security and defense for Quy Nhon City. Contributing to attracting investment in the field of research, innovation and development of artificial intelligence in the 4.0 technology era and promoting smart urban development, developing the potential of scientific research and discovery in the province.

After reviewing the project's route map, the Provincial Party Secretary discussed further planning to effectively utilize land plots on the route for multiple purposes; calculating the construction of additional overpasses at sections to ensure traffic safety; constructing necessary infrastructure works... while noting the need to carefully analyze and assess the project's environmental impact in accordance with environmental protection laws.

The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment... to closely coordinate with the investor during the project implementation process, especially in the feasibility study report preparation step, ensuring full compliance with legal regulations. He suggested continuing to study the planning and rationally arrange the space for urban development, trade and services along the route, including reserving land for the construction of social housing areas.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to continue directing departments and branches to develop plans to promote and attract investment in functional subdivisions that will be planned in a systematic and synchronous manner, effectively promoting the potential of the mountainous land of Vung Chua - a space connecting science, nature and modern urban areas.
