In recent times, occupational safety and hygiene in our province have had many positive changes. Many businesses have focused on improving working conditions, investing in modern equipment, and organizing occupational safety training for workers. The attention of the government, organizations, business community and workers has contributed to significantly reducing occupational accidents and diseases. However, the situation of occupational accidents, especially in high-risk industries such as construction, wood processing, mining, etc., is still complicated. Many incidents occur due to subjectivity, lack of early identification of risks, and lack of adequate preventive measures. According to a report by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Ministry of Home Affairs ), in 2024, there were 8,286 incidents nationwide with 8,472 victims, of which 727 died and 1,690 were seriously injured. In Binh Dinh province, in 2024, there were 62 accidents with 86 victims (a decrease of 30 cases and 08 people compared to 2023); of which the number of deaths due to work accidents was 12 (a decrease of 05 people compared to 2023); the number of seriously injured people was 24 (an increase of 15 people compared to 2023).
