Ho Chi Minh City is expected to set off fireworks on New Year's Eve 2024 at 2 locations.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and submission to the Prime Minister for approval to allow the city to organize high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays on the occasion of New Year's Eve 2024.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City plans to launch high-altitude fireworks at one point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) with 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks, and 10 pyrotechnic fireworks.

Low-altitude point at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11) with 90 low-altitude rigs and 30 pyrotechnic rigs.

Fireworks display time: 15 minutes, from 0:00 - 0:15 on January 1, 2024, funded by socialized sources.

Along with fireworks, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a countdown event at the moment of transition from the old year 2023 to the new year 2024.

Fireworks to celebrate National Day, September 2nd, light up the sky of Ho Chi Minh City. At 9:00 p.m. on September 2nd, 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks and 10 pyrotechnic fireworks were launched into the sky of Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate National Day. The event attracted tens of thousands of people to the streets along the Saigon River to watch.
