In key tourist localities in the South such as Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Can Tho, Kien Giang , the recent Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday recorded a very positive number of visitors, room occupancy rate and revenue. Seizing the opportunity, carefully preparing tourism products, services, entertainment to serve people and tourists during the 5-day holiday of April 30 - May 1, associated with activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, many localities promise to continue to be the "focus" of attracting tourists.
According to Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism Le Truong Hien Hoa, at the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival held in early April, statistics from participating businesses showed positive signals about purchasing power and interest of people and tourists in the tourism market during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the summer tourist season. Over 900 preferential tourism products and services from travel agencies, accommodation establishments, tourist attractions and businesses providing shopping, culinary , health care and entertainment services contributed to "pushing" the purchasing power of tours and individual services up.
Many large travel agencies in the city said that the number of tourists booking tours to Ho Chi Minh City and the Eastern and Western regions of the South during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year increased by 30 - 65% compared to the same period last year. Domestic and foreign tourists booking tours with destinations in Ho Chi Minh City are eager to watch special events, especially the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and visit historical and cultural relics. Ho Chi Minh City currently has over 3,200 accommodation establishments with a total of over 55,000 rooms, meeting most of the needs of tourists during the same period.
Another destination is Ba Ria - Vung Tau, during the recent Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, although it was only a short holiday, many accommodation establishments in Vung Tau city, Xuyen Moc district, Con Dao..., room occupancy rates reached 70 - 85%. The April 30 - May 1 holiday is expected to be an opportunity for Ba Ria - Vung Tau tourism to achieve impressive results. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, there will be many unique cultural and artistic events in the province to serve the people and tourists. Including the Grand Music Night at Lam Son Stadium (Vung Tau city) with the participation of many music stars from across the country.

In the Mekong Delta, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, traveling to Kien Giang with many prominent destinations such as Phu Quoc city, Ha Tien, Rach Gia, Kien Hai district, Kien Luong, along with diverse experiences in landscape, climate, historical and cultural relics will be chosen by many tourists.
