How to travel to Thieng Lieng Can Gio

You can get to Thieng Lieng in two ways:
By public transport and train:
- From Ho Chi Minh City center → bus number 20 to Binh Khanh ferry
- Cross the ferry, continue taking bus number 90 to Can Thanh town
- From here, you take a boat to Thanh An island commune, then take a small boat for about 45 minutes to Thieng Lieng.
Go by private canoe:
Depart from Bach Dang wharf or Nha Rong wharf, go straight to the island. Suitable for large groups, travel time only takes about 2 hours. Although the cost is higher, you will save time and can admire the Can Gio sea view on the way.
Although the journey takes a bit of time, it helps you feel more clearly the transition from the city to the wild nature.

Each cake is handmade by the locals, from simple ingredients but contains both hospitality and pride in the homeland.
Drink fresh syrup at Ho Muoi Gia

Right in Ho Muoi Gia's garden, you can enjoy fresh syrup made from ripe sapodilla fruit (called mountain sapodilla) grown by the locals. The light sour taste combined with the sweet taste creates a unique beverage that cannot be found in supermarkets.
In addition to enjoying, you will also hear about the process of growing and caring for syrup trees and how people take advantage of nature to create healthy food every day.

- Should go in the dry season for easy movement and beautiful photos
- Bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, long-sleeved shirt, wide-brimmed hat
- Don't bring too much luggage because the train is small and there is a lot of walking.
- Bring cash as there are no ATMs on the island.
- If you travel on your own, you should contact to book train and homestay in advance because the number of guests is limited.
- When coming to Thieng Lieng Island, let's preserve the natural beauty of the island by not littering.
