In early June, when schools end the school year, families want to take their children on vacation to regain energy after a year of being "burdened" with books. From another perspective, teachers also want to have a vacation to forget the fatigue after a long time in class. While many families choose to return to Binh Thuan with its "blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine" and eat seafood, many families choose to return to the countryside to visit their paternal and maternal families, combined with tourism to explore the fruit gardens and especially enjoy the ripe durians that have fallen, the ripe mangosteens that have ripened on the trees or the bunches of longan swaying in the wind, sweet and fragrant...

Since the beginning of June, Da Mi has been "bustling" with tourists coming to enjoy the summer and visit the fruit garden. Macadamia island of Mr. Minh Phu is located next to Ham Thuan hydroelectric reservoir and every day hundreds of people come to visit. Mr. Mai Van Minh - Director of Da Mi Tourism Company is quite surprised with the number of visitors to the island every day. He said: "Most of the visitors are teachers, students and family tours, there are tours every day and the number of visitors is expected to increase in the near future"... Mr. Phan Huu Hung - Principal of Phuoc Loc Secondary School and other principals in La Gi town just had a "reconnaissance" trip to Da Mi to survey before taking the group of teachers from the school to visit said: "I heard my colleagues talk about the beautiful scenery of the lake but when I arrived, it was beyond my imagination. The orchard is wonderful, fresh macadamia nuts hanging from the branches are picked and eaten on the spot, which is very strange to many people in the group. In Binh Thuan, there is a tourist destination like this, not only to relax but also for students to learn many interesting things, supplementing their knowledge...". With the group of Ms. Hoang Ngoc Kieu in Ho Chi Minh City, more than 50 people went to Phan Thiet to swim in the sea and then went to Da Mi to experience the orchard. Ms. Kieu confided: “In Binh Thuan, we visited the dragon fruit garden and enjoyed the products made from dragon fruit, but coming here, we were able to pick up ripe fallen durian and sit right under the tree to split it open and eat, so the feeling was quite interesting. Tourism in Binh Thuan is becoming more and more diverse, so the group will come back next time...”.
When mentioning fruits in Binh Thuan, many people think of the dragon fruit areas of Ham Thuan Nam and Ham Thuan Bac. In addition, there is also the Son My longan area, Ham Tan district, the fruit area in Ro Mo, Da Kai commune, Duc Linh district, because here farmers grow hundreds of hectares of sweet tangerines, oranges, grapefruits... Duc Linh is also famous for watermelons, farmers take advantage of growing alluvial land along the La Nga river, so the watermelons have a sweet taste, very popular in the market. Recently, Duc Linh farmers have also grown bananas for export. Due to its proximity to the Southeast provinces, most of the fruits in Duc Linh are bought wholesale in the garden by traders from Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City, only a few go down to Phan Thiet. In Da Mi and Ham Thuan Bac, many people want to eat mangosteen, durian and bananas because of their much better quality and flavor. In addition, in the Ta Pua area of Duc Linh and Tanh Linh districts, there is also very delicious durian because the soil and climate of these two places are suitable for fruit trees...
Besides durian and mangosteen which are “hot” with fruit lovers, dozens of types of fruits such as jackfruit, mango, green strawberry, star apple... ripe and fragrant also make many people choose homestay packages in the garden areas in districts of Binh Thuan province for their children to rest, live and enjoy.
