The luxury cruise ship Star Voyager, part of the StarDream Cruises group, has departed from Phu My port ( Ho Chi Minh City) to Singapore, opening a new era for luxury ocean resorts.
Star Voyager is a mid-range luxury cruise ship of StarDream Cruises, a brand with over 30 years of experience and has been honored as “The Most Knowledgeable Cruise Line in Asia” for 8 consecutive years at the World Travel Awards. This is also the first time the ship has welcomed Vietnamese tourists right at Phu My port, opening up a rare opportunity to explore sea tourism without having to fly abroad before boarding the ship.
Mr. Michael Goh, Chairman of StarDream Cruises, shared: “We are proud to bring the first international cruise departing from Vietnam exclusively for domestic travelers. Although it is the first time to deploy, the trips in June (13, 17 and 21) are all fully booked, showing the great potential of the Vietnamese market.”

According to Mr. Michael Goh, the two ships currently in operation are Star Voyager and Star Navigator, both in the mid-high-end segment with a capacity of about 2,000 passengers each. Both the interior design and on-board services are optimized for the needs of tourists in Asia and emerging markets, including Vietnam. Previously, StarCruises only operated cruises from major international ports such as Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta... However, with increasing demand from the Vietnamese market, the company decided to bring 5-star cruises to depart from domestic ports in Vietnam. This is an unprecedented move.

Mr. Michael Goh added that to make this cruise a reality, StarCruises has received active support from departments, agencies, customs forces and tourism units in Ho Chi Minh City in completing procedures, connecting infrastructure and ensuring security for the trip. “We expect that in the future, Ho Chi Minh City will become the cruise tourism center of Southeast Asia. This is also a strategy to expand the market and attract more tourist segments who love combined sea and air travel,” said Mr. Michael Goh.

Service and commercial areas in Singapore are open 24/7 to serve tourists.
During the two middle days of the journey, the cruise ship docks at Singapore, the most dynamic city in the region. Visitors have the opportunity to visit Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park, Orchard Road, and experience entertainment destinations such as Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, SEA Aquarium... Returning to the ship on the last day, visitors continue to relax in the open sea before ending the journey at Phu My port.

For many passengers, this is not just a trip but also a unique experience associated with a high-class lifestyle. The diverse entertainment services, beautiful and luxurious open space made me not feel bored but just want to explore more. This is truly a journey combining relaxation, discovering Singaporean culture and enjoying the ultimate comfort in the middle of the ocean.”
Cultural and artistic performances are regularly performed on the cruise for tourists to enjoy.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the StarCruises cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore not only contributes to enriching Vietnam's tourism products but also opens up the future for cruise tourism to develop strongly in the region. With increasing demand, tourism businesses expect to continue expanding their journeys to many new international destinations right from Vietnamese ports.
