Against the opponent considered the strongest in this year's tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team took the field with their best lineup. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan was without star striker Sana Anarkulova due to injury.
In set 1, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team showed dominance. The hitters Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy had many classy plays to bring points to the Vietnamese team. In the first set, Kazakhstan did not play well with many mistakes. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team quickly won 25-15 in this set.
In set 2, Kazakhstan played better, correcting many previous mistakes. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's adjustments in this set were not effective. Vietnam lost 19-25. This was also the first set loss for Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team at this year's AVC Nations Cup.
Vietnam quickly regained control in set 3 when returning to the same formation as set 1. Kazakhstan, after a hard-fought game, gradually lost strength. And the home team won overwhelmingly 25-7.
Set 4 continued to witness the dominance of the Vietnamese team. There were not many mistakes in this decisive set and coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team won 25-16 to end the match.
With this victory, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team entered the finals of the AVC Nations Cup for the third consecutive time and has a good chance of successfully defending the championship. Their opponent will be the winner of the match between the Philippines and Chinese Taipei.
