On May 15, representatives of more than 300 Ho Chi Minh City businesses participated in the Tourism and Business Meeting - Creation - Development Program with the theme "Sharing and practical application of AI, TikTok and digital management in the tourism and travel industry" to expand cooperation, connect businesses and seek strategic partners in the tourism and travel industry. The goal of the event is to build a sustainable, professional and innovative tourism ecosystem. With the spirit of meeting - creation - development, the program is not only a place to listen to practical experience sharing but also an open forum to exchange and discuss new directions for the tourism industry in a context of many fluctuations but also full of opportunities.

At the event, the leader of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry said that developing digital transformation is an inevitable trend, not only for the tourism industry. Currently, the city has a lot of room for tourism development, requiring the management of tourism resources and grasping digital transformation to be top priorities. The city's Department of Tourism will invest in a shared system. When there are tourism resources in that shared system, the units will deploy tourism communities and share data. Industry experts commented that recently, most businesses in the city are changing their operating models according to digital transformation, applying technology to improve the quality of services provided to people and businesses.

According to the Project on Smart Tourism Development in the city for the period 2020 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, the city will focus on building a smart tourism system towards key goals such as: convenience for tourists, smart destinations, smart business ecosystem; proactively analyzing and forecasting needs, trends, and preferences to better plan development.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that to date, 366 city tourism resources have been updated on Google Earth and Google Map platforms. The products are also on e-commerce trading floors (shopee, traveloka)... for tourists and residents to learn and refer to./.
