The competition brings together 20 artists from BRICS countries, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Middle East. The event aims to demonstrate cultural diversity, mutual respect, appreciation of unique identities and national traditions. In addition, there is a commitment to equal cooperation for peace and goodwill through the "language" of music. This is considered the return of the Intervision Song Contest that was held in the 1960s and is the "counterpart" of the Eurovision contest in Europe.
