Scrolling up or down to read content is one of the advantages of smartphones using modern touch panels compared to phones with traditional hard keyboards. However, few people know that the iPhone has a special feature that effectively serves the habit of reading news or viewing social networks.
By habit, social network users can scroll the screen continuously (by swiping up or down) to search for new content for a long time, or when reading newspapers, emails, viewing Excel spreadsheets, text files... the same thing happens.
However, in many cases when forced to return to the top of the content page, swiping back up the screen to scroll up is not pleasant.
Operating the iPhone screen will be more enjoyable when users know some small tips hidden on the product.
If the current interface does not have a Back to Top button (usually located in the lower right corner of the screen), iPhone users do not need to worry too much because their devices already have this feature, but no one mentioned it during product launches.
With just one tap on the screen, the iPhone will automatically scroll to the top of the page. The key is that users need to tap the right spot to activate this feature, and this location depends on the model of the device they are using.
If you are using an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max with Dynamic Island, you can tap anywhere within the pill-shaped "adaptive island" to activate the feature. If you are using an iPhone with a "rabbit ear" (from iPhone X to iPhone 13 Pro Max), the area to tap is on the two sides of the "rabbit ear" where it touches the display area on the screen. Unlike Dynamic Island, iPhone users with a notch cannot touch or interact directly in this area.
For older iPhones that don't have Dynamic Island or a notch, users will tap the clock display on the status bar to instantly scroll the content to the top of the page.
