Truong Son Road - The mark of a resilient Vietnam in the resistance war against America
The Truong Son Road (Ho Chi Minh Trail) is considered the “greatest achievement of 20th century military architecture”, one of the fiercest battlefields that suffered the most bombs and bullets throughout world history. During the 16 years from the day the road was opened until the end of the war, Truong Son troops built more than 20,000 km of motor roads, 1,400 km of oil pipelines, 3,140 km of “closed roads” for vehicles to travel during the day and thousands of bridges, culverts and tunnels. Not only a vital traffic route, the Truong Son Road is also the mark of a resilient nation, where the aspiration for unification has become an immortal legend!
