Ferrari F80 - the most powerful hybrid supercar of the "prancing horse" costs nearly 100 billion VND

(CLO) There will only be 799 Ferrari F80s worldwide and all of them have been sold before production. The car has a selling price of up to 3.9 million USD, equivalent to more than 98 billion VND.

Ferrari has just officially launched the all-new F80 supercar equipped with a hybrid powertrain. According to Ferrari's announcement, the company's latest product has a total capacity of up to 1,184 horsepower, the most powerful in the brand's history.

The Ferrari F80's power comes from a 3.0L V6 petrol engine, coded F163CF. This engine is similar to the 296 GTB and 499P Le Mans models, but the capacity is increased to 888 horsepower, with 850 Nm of torque. Combined with 2 motors located on the front axle and at the rear of the car, the total capacity of the F80 is increased to 1,184 horsepower.

Under test conditions, the Ferrari F80 only took 2.15 seconds to reach 100 km/h and 5.75 seconds to reach 200 km/h. The electric motor on the Ferrari F80 plays a supporting role, so this hybrid supercar does not have a pure electric mode.

The Ferrari F80 has a 2-seater configuration. However, most of the details are focused on the driver. That's why the Italian car company calls the F80 +1 instead of 2-seater.

In the cockpit, the passenger seat is pushed back compared to the driver's seat, the leather upholstery also has a dark tone similar to the overall color tone of the interior. The buttons on the steering wheel are all physical instead of touch like the Ferrari SF90 and 296 supercars.

The Ferrari F80's chassis is made from a variety of materials, while the roof and body are made from carbon fiber. The hybrid supercar has an aerodynamic design that creates up to 1,000 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.

Ferrari's latest supercar is equipped with many smart technologies. Notably, the Boost Optimization feature is only applied on the racetrack. When Boost Optimization is activated, the driver can test drive the F80 for a lap, the system will record all the curves as well as straights, then fine-tune the most optimal power level on each stretch of the track.

Ferrari said that all 799 F80s have been pre-ordered by customers according to strict standards. The car costs up to 3.9 million USD, equivalent to more than 98 billion VND. The Italian supercar company plans to start producing the Ferrari F80 in early 2025 and complete all 799 cars in 2027.
