FPT Long Chau participates in intensive training in asthma patient care

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that occurs in all ages and affects 1-18% of the population depending on the country. This disease has affected 358 million people worldwide and in Vietnam, the average rate of asthma is about 3.9% of the population (children aged 13-14 account for 14.8%) equivalent to about 4 million people and takes the lives of 3,000-4,000 people each year. In the face of the fact that patients' awareness of the disease, proper care and treatment is still limited, the consulting role of pharmacists at pharmacies needs to be paid more attention and invested in, helping pharmacists to fully promote their role, supporting patients to improve the quality of health care in treatment.

Accordingly, on the morning of May 17, 2023, FPT Long Chau Pharmacy and GSK Vietnam jointly implemented a series of specialized training activities under the program "Shine: Shine for respiratory patients", with the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Respiratory Association and senior advisory boards of the two units, aiming to provide comprehensive training in both pathology expertise and professional consulting skills for asthma - COPD. The program, with the accompaniment of leading medical experts, has a great effect in improving the capacity of nearly 1,000 Long Chau pharmacists participating through lectures and specialized consulting paths. After completing the training session, the team of pharmacists in the pharmacy chain will receive a certificate of completion of the course.

FPT Long Chau Pharmacy and GSK Vietnam have coordinated to implement a series of intensive training activities for nearly 1,000 pharmacists.

This is one of the key activities of FPT Long Chau and its strategic partners to gradually realize the long-term investment strategy in human resource quality, creating conditions for pharmacists to receive specialized training: Being an exemplary pharmacist with enough perseverance to continuously learn and develop themselves, ensuring that they are equipped with enough knowledge and skills to advise on quality medicines, and understanding and sharing the pain of patients' illnesses. At the same time, "upgrading oneself" according to the "4T" criteria: Having heart - having vision - having talent - having appropriate income, truly dedicated to the profession through the training privileges implemented by FPT Long Chau and its strategic partners. Thereby, it is a motivation for pharmacists to learn and continuously develop themselves, develop the business towards the mission of serving the health of the Vietnamese people.

Pharmacist Long Chau is comprehensively trained in pathology knowledge and soft skills to better advise and actively support asthma and COPD patients.
