In the qualifying final match that took place on the afternoon of October 23 in Ho Chi Minh City, veteran of Vietnam's 3-cushion carom billiards, Pham Quoc Thuan, created a dramatic comeback against the top player in the Central region, Nguyen Van Phuc. In the first round, Van Phuc led Quoc Thuan 20-13.

In the second round, Quoc Thuan, with consecutive accurate shots, leveled the score at 22-22, before accelerating to win 40-31 after 27 turns. Thereby, Quoc Thuan won the qualifying round championship and received 20 million VND in prize money. Nguyen Van Phuc, runner-up, received 4 million VND. The two third-place players, Long Hong and Le Quoc Trung, received 2 million VND. The "best series" award went to Huynh Le Truong Hung with a 15-point cue, while Nguyen Dinh Quoc won the "best game" award with an efficiency of 3,333 points/turn, each player receiving 1 million VND.

From round 16 to semi-finals, the score is 40 points, and the final round is played to 50 points. The champion of the final round will receive a prize of 40 million VND.
