In the bustling atmosphere, crisp laughter and sparkling lanterns filled the entire campus of Thanh Ngai 1 Primary School during the "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love" organized by the People's Committee of Phuoc My Trung Commune in coordination with kindergartens and primary schools in the area. This year's program attracted nearly 1,000 students representing kindergartens and primary schools in the commune to participate. Of these, 88 were children of poor, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances.
With the theme “Mid-Autumn Festival of Love - Children Today, World Tomorrow”, the festival not only brings joy to children but also demonstrates the deep concern of local authorities in taking care of the spiritual life of children, especially those in difficult circumstances.

Join hands for poor children – no child is left behind
It is known that Phuoc My Trung commune currently has 639 preschool students, 2,309 primary school students, 45 children in special circumstances, over 235 children from poor households, near-poor households, and disadvantaged households.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Cao Minh Trang, Vice Chairman of Phuoc My Trung Commune People's Committee, shared: "Children are the future of the homeland, so the commune always considers the care, protection and education of children as a key task. The Mid-Autumn Festival is an opportunity for us to show the love and care of the community for children, especially those in special circumstances."
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee mobilized nearly 1,000 Mid-Autumn gifts including Nestlé MILO milk ( Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd.), candies, lanterns and school supplies. Along with that, many scholarships were handed over by benefactors to poor students, students with disabilities and orphans. The fund for the program was contributed by businesses, philanthropists and local officials and civil servants.
The joy of teachers and students on the Mid- Autumn Festival
Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Principal of Thanh Ngai 1 Primary School, emotionally shared: “Every year when Mid-Autumn Festival comes, children eagerly look forward to carrying lanterns, watching lion dances and receiving gifts. This year the program was organized more thoughtfully and meaningfully than every year. Teachers really appreciate the attention of local authorities and sponsors, because this is a great source of encouragement for children to love school and class more.”
And Tran Quoc Bao, a fourth grader, excitedly said: “I am so happy! I got to watch the lion dance, enjoy the feast, and even receive a lantern. I thank you all for giving us a really happy Mid-Autumn Festival.”
At the stage area, the performances "Star Lantern Procession", "Uncle Cuoi - Sister Hang" and the vibrant lion dance brought a bustling, warm atmosphere.
Spread the spirit of mutual love
Not only a festival for children, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival is also an opportunity to spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community. The authorities of Phuoc My Trung commune said they will continue to maintain and expand social security activities, sponsoring students in difficult circumstances, to help them have more motivation to excel in their studies and life. "The joy of the children today is the motivation for us to continue to make efforts to take better care of the children in the whole commune," affirmed Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thao - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Phuoc My Trung commune, Vinh Long province.
A Mid-Autumn Festival full of love
With the joint efforts of the government, schools, teachers and the community, the "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love" program in Phuoc My Trung commune has truly become a festival of love, contributing to bringing children - especially those in difficult circumstances - a full, warm and meaningful full moon season.
