On the afternoon of November 15, in Da Nang, the University of Da Nang organized a workshop on connectivity in training high-quality human resources for provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. This is one of the important events in the series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment and development of the University of Da Nang (1994 - 2024).
Attending and chairing the workshop were Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training ; Professor Dr. Le Quan, Director of Hanoi National University; Dr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee; Professor Dr. Bui Van Ga, Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Da Nang University.
With about 250 delegates attending, the Workshop created a forum for leaders, managers, schools, scientists and businesses to share concerns, exchange experiences and propose solutions to further promote effective, sustainable and substantive connections between the "three Houses" (State - School - Enterprise) in training high-quality human resources, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party and State's policies, especially Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
In his opening speech at the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of the University of Danang, emphasized that the North Central and Central Coast regions, including 14 provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan, have a particularly important strategic role and position in terms of economy, politics, culture, society, environment, national defense and security and foreign affairs; have many potentials and advantages for socio-economic development. However, at present, the region has not yet developed commensurate with its potentials and advantages. There are many reasons, one of which is that the quality of human resources has not met the requirements and expectations of development.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu said that Danang University has a training scale of about 65,000 students, among the top in the country; has more than 30 years of development and 50 years of member universities, with a team of nearly 2,600 staff and civil servants; the proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees or higher is nearly 50%. Danang University has an extensive international cooperation network, while maintaining relationships with ministries, branches, and large domestic enterprises, contributing to improving the quality of training and expanding development opportunities for students... "Therefore, it can be said that Danang University is the "cradle" of training high-quality human resources, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the Central Highlands region in particular and the whole country in general" - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu emphasized.
Overview of the Workshop on connectivity in training high-quality human resources for provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. |
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Danang University considers training quality as the “red thread” throughout and the foundation for the sustainable development of a university. The connection between the school and partners in human resource training at Danang University in particular and universities in general has achieved positive initial results, but has not yet met expectations. Therefore, finding the causes and proposing solutions to promote the connection between the “three Houses” (State – School – Enterprise) in training high-quality human resources to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the Region in particular and the whole country in general is an urgent requirement in the current context.
More than 70 papers submitted to the Workshop focused on many issues such as: Human resource needs from many perspectives, meeting the requirements of economic restructuring and regional linkage; policies to encourage businesses to cooperate with universities in the training process to link training and actual use of human resources; from regional potential, developing marine, industrial, agricultural and service economic sectors, meeting the new development context in a sustainable manner.../.
