The event was honored to welcome the participation of leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies; leaders of provincial/municipal People's Committees; Vietnam National Brand Council; domestic and foreign trade promotion organizations; news agencies, newspapers and honored enterprises.
AAN Rice is honored to be recognized as a National Brand for the second consecutive time.
Bringing Vietnamese rice brand to the world
In October 2024, AAN Rice continued to successfully export the AAN Japonica product line to Japan with an output of about 5,000 tons (since the beginning of 2024), affirming its position as one of the outstanding Vietnamese rice brands in the country and typical in the export market. It is expected that by the end of the year and according to the signed cooperation agreement, the output of AAN rice exported to Japan can double, equivalent to 10,000 tons in 2025. This is what AAN has pioneered in its field in the Japanese market, exactly as the criteria that a THQG needs to have. Japan is one of the most demanding rice import markets in the world with more than 650 strict criteria, mainly criteria related to strict regulations on pesticides and product quality. To achieve this, AAN Rice must be controlled throughout the entire rice value chain from selecting raw material areas, monitoring the cultivation process as required, ensuring the processing time of fresh rice from harvesting in the field to the factory within the "golden time" of 6-8 hours, insulating rice in cold storage silos to fully preserve the quality of rice grains, processing and packaging finished rice on modern production lines and continuously strictly controlling to select quality finished rice... To bring the best Vietnamese branded products to the world, first of all, those products must be served to Vietnamese consumers. In the longer term, AAN not only focuses on quality but also puts products in a green production process, clean agriculture. Currently, Vietnam has not yet applied standards and emission indicators for the rice industry, but this will certainly be a future economic development trend for all industries. For food and rice production enterprises like AAN, if they want to stay in the "race" and deeply integrate into the global agricultural product chain, they must also have "green - clean" solutions. That is, improving product quality, tracing origin, clean, green production, environmentally friendly, reducing greenhouse gas emissions...AAN Rice brand is increasingly popular with Vietnamese consumers.
"Reaching out into the green era"
The 2024 National Brand Announcement Ceremony was held with the theme "Strengthening the Green Era". The "Green Era" was established in the context of Vietnam's goal of becoming a high-income developed country by 2045 and reducing net carbon emissions to zero by 2050. Vietnam's determination to build a green economy is demonstrated through commitments to green development and sustainable development in new-generation free trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans- Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Vietnam - European Union Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)... This clearly demonstrates Vietnam's determination to build national brands, local brands, industries and enterprises in a green and sustainable direction, responding to the strong shifting world market trends. AAN Rice is currently also paying great attention to farming models that reduce emissions, reduce production costs and increase income for rice growers. This is realized through the signing of a contract with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to receive technical advice and support on developing a safe, low-emission, high-quality and sustainable rice supply chain. By early 2024, AAN (a member of Tan Long Group) was selected to cooperate with cooperatives and farmers in the project "Transforming the rice value chain to respond to climate change and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta (TRVC)", funded by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, the Netherlands Development Organization in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and localities in the period 2023 - 2027.Japanese experts and partners visit AAN Rice's raw material area
