Also in Hanoi, surveying other trading locations, silver prices are currently listed at VND1,195,000/tael (buy) and VND1,228,000/tael (sell), unchanged from yesterday morning's trading session.

In Ho Chi Minh City, silver prices followed the same trend, currently at VND1,197,000/tael (buy) and VND1,234,000/tael (sell), unchanged from the weekend trading session.

In the world market, according to giabac.net, at 06:25:45 on the morning of July 21, the spot silver price was trading at 38.159 USD/ounce, down slightly compared to yesterday morning's trading session.

Previously, silver price was listed at 38.165 USD/ounce.

World silver price is equivalent to 998,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 1,003,000 VND/ounce (sell), unchanged from yesterday morning's trading session.

"Although silver is often more volatile than gold, it still follows the trend of the precious metal," said market analyst James Hyerczyk. "Gold's continued recovery is providing support for silver, especially as expectations for a US rate cut are currently only moderate."

He said strong US retail sales and falling jobless claims have dampened expectations of a more aggressive policy easing by the Federal Reserve.
