FOUNDATION FOR PRESERVING AND PROMOTING TRADITIONAL VALUES
Vietnamese people are proud of their family tradition of closeness, love, and respect for elders. Through many ups and downs, the family has always been a place to nurture morality and preserve the national cultural identity. Although the traditional family model has changed in scale and form of living to suit modern society, core values such as filial piety, love, sharing, and responsibility are still preserved and promoted. Nowadays, many families are more aware of cultivating a civilized lifestyle, building a prosperous, progressive, and happy family. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has contributed to widely spreading the model of a cultural family - creating good nuclei for the community, from rural to urban areas.

However, besides the admirable results, Vietnamese family life is also facing many challenges. Busyness, economic pressure, industrialization - urbanization and the impact of social networks have significantly affected the relationship between family members. Negative manifestations such as: domestic violence, divorce, lack of attention, lack of connection between parents and children... still exist.
In many rural areas, the pursuit of economic development and livelihood concerns sometimes causes family cultural values to be overlooked. Meanwhile, young people tend to adopt a more modern and open lifestyle, but sometimes lack the skills to preserve and cultivate family happiness. These realities require the community and each family to pay more attention to building a cultural family, thereby creating responsible, compassionate citizens who are willing to contribute to society.
SPREADING BEAUTIFUL LIFESTYLE IN THE COMMUNITY
A cultural family is not just a title, but must be a reality in thinking and lifestyle. A cultural family will be a support of love, a beacon of light, an environment to teach children to be polite, love their fellow countrymen, respect the law, and contribute to building their homeland and country.
Happy families, filial, well-behaved, successful children; loving, sharing, and equal husband and wife; grandparents and parents setting an example of morality and lifestyle - that is the beautiful image of Vietnamese families today. It is these families that will connect together to form a peaceful, orderly, and affectionate community, making an important contribution to maintaining security, order, and socio-economic development in each locality.
For the family to truly be a stable home and the key to a sustainable community, there needs to be cooperation from many sides such as: Each family needs to promote the responsibilityof education , maintain order, care about building a healthy lifestyle, and connect with love. Spend time together, share, listen to resolve all conflicts with love and respect. Schools and communities need to promote life skills education, family values for children and adolescents; promote the role of mass organizations, Women's Union, and Association of the Elderly in mobilizing to build cultural families. Local authorities at all levels need to continue to launch movements, honor and promptly reward typical cultural families, replicate good models, good practices; at the same time, strictly handle violations of family ethics and community cultural standards.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day June 28, let's together cultivate and spread the good values of Vietnamese families, so that each home is a place to light the fire of love, sow the seeds of kindness and contribute to building a rich and beautiful community.
