Pig price today September 25

* Pig price today in the Northern region is stable.

Accordingly, localities including Yen Bai , Lao Cai, Hanoi and Tuyen Quang together purchase live pigs at the price of 56,000 VND/kg.

Other localities maintain purchasing prices from 57,000 VND/kg to 58,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today in the North is around 56,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.

* Pig market prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions are stagnant.

Of which, the lowest transaction price in the region is 55,000 VND/kg recorded in localities including Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.

Other localities continue to purchase at prices ranging from 56,000 - 57,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg.

* Pig prices in the South have stagnated following the general trend.

Accordingly, Ca Mau province still maintains the highest purchase price in the region at 58,000 VND/kg.

Lower than 1,000 VND/kg, at 57,000 VND/kg, is the purchase price recorded in Long An, Can Tho and Kien Giang. The remaining provinces and cities maintain purchase prices in the range of 55,000 - 56,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the Southern region today is around 55,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.

* The average price of live pigs nationwide is at 56,000 VND/kg - the lowest in over 4 months. According to experts, the reason for the continuous decrease in live pig prices in recent times is due to weak purchasing power, while the supply to the market has increased.

At the same time, the African swine fever epidemic is on the rise, causing many farmers to rush to sell off to avoid the epidemic. There are many pigs on the market, traded at many different prices - with a large difference.

Meanwhile, purchasing power has not improved much even though Vu Lan season (7th lunar month) has ended, because people are saving on spending, causing low purchasing power.

Although the market price of pigs has decreased, there is a positive sign when CP Vietnam Company adjusted the price up by 500 VND/kg in the North, to 57,500 VND/kg. In addition, the price of piglets continued to be adjusted up by 10,000 VND/kg, to 1.56 million VND/head in the North and by 30,000 VND/head, to 1.37 million VND/head in the West.
