Gia Lai provides medical support and 4 billion VND to help provinces affected by storms and floods

At the ceremony, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and affection of the team of cadres and doctors.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan hopes that members will promote solidarity, discipline, and closely coordinate with the health sector of other provinces, contributing to helping people in storm and flood areas soon stabilize their lives.

The working group, consisting of 62 provincial health officials, divided into two teams, will support Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang from October 11 to 17. The group's mission is to coordinate environmental sanitation, disinfect water sources, prevent epidemics, distribute medicine and promote health education for people in flood-affected areas...

In addition, Gia Lai province supported an additional 600kg of chloramine B, 4,000 bags of household medicine (sponsored by Bidiphar Company) and means of transport for the working delegation.

Besides, Gia Lai decided to support 4 billion VND for the provinces: Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Bac Ninh (1 billion VND for each province).

The Provincial People's Committee also supported 50 million VND for each working team; hospitals in the province contributed additional funds to encourage the team before they left for their mission.

Preparation of equipment, materials and medicine to support flood and storm recovery in the North

Immediately after the departure ceremony, the working delegation moved to Phu Cat airport to catch the morning flight, starting the meaningful and responsible journey of the Gia Lai health sector towards the flood-hit areas of the North.

Previously, on October 1, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province supported 6 billion VND for localities that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 10.

Accordingly, the support money is allocated to: Quang Tri (1 billion VND), Ha Tinh (2 billion VND), Nghe An (1 billion VND), Thanh Hoa (1 billion VND) and Son La (1 billion VND).

At the first Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, delegates also donated 180 million VND to support people affected by storm No. 10.
