Rice price today August 4: Quiet transactions, stable prices

Rice prices today, August 4, in the Mekong Delta region remained stable. Transactions were slow, with no major fluctuations in the domestic or export markets.

Domestic rice trading stagnates

The rice price market on August 4 recorded little fluctuation. In the Mekong Delta region, prices of many types of rice and paddy remained stable compared to previous days. According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, both fresh rice and raw rice remained stable, the buying and selling market was sparse.

Prices of raw rice and finished products are stable.

Raw rice prices in the Mekong Delta remain stable. Specifically, IR 504 rice is at 8,400 - 8,600 VND/kg, 5451 rice is from 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg, CL 555 rice is about 9,000 - 9,100 VND/kg, OM 380 is from 7,950 - 8,050 VND/kg, OM 18 is from 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg.

At the retail market, rice prices remain unchanged. Nang Nhen rice is the highest at VND28,000/kg, Huong Lai rice is VND22,000/kg, regular rice is VND13,000-14,000/kg, Thai fragrant rice is VND20,000-22,000/kg, Jasmine rice is VND16,000-18,000/kg.

Fresh rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained unchanged. IR 50404 rice was priced at VND5,700-5,800/kg, Nang Hoa 9 and Dai Thom 8 rice were priced at VND6,100-6,200/kg, OM 18 and OM 5451 were priced at VND5,900-6,200/kg, OM 380 was priced at VND5,700-5,900/kg. Transactions in localities were quiet.
