Rice price today August 7: Rice price slightly decreased

Domestic rice prices

In the Mekong Delta, rice prices fluctuated little, with quiet transactions. Fresh rice prices such as IR 50404, OM 18, Nang Hoa 9, and Dai Thom 8 fluctuated at 5,700 - 6,200 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.

Trading market

Rice supply in An Giang , Dong Thap, Ca Mau, and Can Tho has decreased, and quality is uneven. Traders offer low prices, while farmers keep prices high, slowing down transactions. In Sa Dec and An Cu, the amount of rice arriving is low, and buying and selling is limited.

Export rice price

Vietnam's rice export prices remain stable: 5% broken rice is 382 USD/ton, 25% broken rice is 357 USD/ton, 100% broken rice is 319 USD/ton. The Philippines has temporarily stopped rice imports since September 1 to support farmers, putting downward pressure on prices on the global market.
