DNVN - On December 24, the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) continued to show a slight downward trend.
According to the State Bank, the central exchange rate listed today decreased by 7 VND compared to December 23, reaching 24,308 VND/USD. Within the +/-5% band, the ceiling exchange rate is 25,523 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is determined at 23,093 VND/USD. Currently, the reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office is 23,400 VND/USD (buy) and 25,450 VND/USD (sell).
At the commercial banking system, at 8:15 a.m., Vietcombank announced today's USD exchange rate ranging from 25,223 to 25,523 VND/USD (buy - sell), down 7 VND compared to the previous trading session. At the same time, BIDV also adjusted the USD exchange rate with a decrease of 5 VND for buying and 7 VND for selling, listed at 25,225 - 25,523 VND/USD.
Regarding the Chinese Yuan (CNY), the exchange rate at Vietcombank today was recorded at 3,432 - 3,543 VND/CNY (buy - sell), down slightly by 1 VND in both directions compared to the morning of December 23. Meanwhile, BIDV announced the CNY exchange rate at 3,444 VND/CNY for buying and 3,540 VND/CNY for selling, down 1 VND and 2 VND respectively compared to yesterday.
