Durian prices on July 9, domestic durian prices are stable across the board, commonly at 30,000 - 80,000 VND/kg. The domestic market still maintains a balanced supply-demand rhythm during the low season.
Durian prices today, July 9, 2025, in most key growing areas in the country, recorded no fluctuations compared to the previous day. Common prices range from 30,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, depending on the type, quality and purchasing area.
In the Southwest region - considered the largest "durian orchard" in the country, beautiful RI6 durian is being purchased for around 42,000 - 46,000 VND/kg. Beautiful Thai durian still maintains a high price, ranging from 76,000 - 78,000 VND/kg. Durian varieties bought in bulk such as RI6 in bulk or Thai durian in bulk remain stable at 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg and 45,000 - 48,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast, the price of beautiful RI6 durian is currently being purchased at around 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Beautiful Thai durian still maintains its appeal in the market, priced at 76,000 - 80,000 VND/kg - a price that is considered to have "stayed steady" for many days.
In the Central Highlands, especially the Central Highlands, beautiful RI6 durian is purchased by traders at around 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg. Beautiful Thai durian here remains at a high price of 72,000 - 80,000 VND/kg. Durian products bought in bulk, such as RI6 in bulk or Thai in bulk, still fluctuate at 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg and 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg respectively, with no price adjustment.
According to warehouse owners in Dak Lak and Tien Giang , although mid-July is not the main season, domestic consumption and export demand for durian is still stable. Thanks to that, prices have not dropped as much as in previous years, giving farmers more motivation to take care of their fruit gardens.
The stability of durian prices today in all three key regions – the Southwest, Southeast and Central Highlands – shows that the domestic market has maintained a balanced supply-demand rhythm during the low season. With Vietnam being one of the leading countries exporting durian to China, the rise of Cambodia may be a competitive factor but also opens up many opportunities for cooperation in the region.
In the short term, durian prices are forecast to remain stable, as domestic supply is not abundant, while export demand still exists, especially from transit orders before the Mid-Autumn Festival in China.
However, as Cambodia begins to export officially and increases its output, the regional market will face more competitive pressure. Agricultural experts recommend that Vietnamese farmers continue to adhere to clean farming standards, control quality and diversify markets instead of relying too much on a single output.
