Steel prices on the exchange

Rebar on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) for May 2026 delivery rose 49 yuan to 3,262 yuan/t.

The most-traded iron ore contract for September delivery on China's Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) rose 1.11 percent to 773.5 yuan ($107.71) a tonne. The benchmark iron ore contract for August delivery on the Singapore Exchange rose 0.84 percent to $99.75 a tonne.

Iron ore output by Chinese mining companies fell 9.1 percent year-on-year to 508.59 million tonnes in the January-June period of 2025 from the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In June, the country's ore output reached 88.97 million tons, down 8.4% year-on-year, but up 3.7% month-on-month.

Viet Sing Steel, with CB240 coil steel, is priced at VND13,690/kg; D10 CB300 ribbed steel is priced at VND13,580/kg.

VAS steel, with CB240 coil steel line at 13,740 VND/kg; D10 CB300 ribbed steel bar is priced at 13,740 VND/kg.
