Prices continue to fall nationwide; exports of animal feed and raw materials to the US increase by 63.5%

* Pig price in the Northern region

According to a survey, the price of live pigs in the northern provinces and cities does not have much difference, ranging from 62,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the Northern market lost the 64,000 VND/kg mark after a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg in Hai Duong and Hung Yen. Also recording this decrease, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh traded at 62,000 VND/kg.

*Pig price in the Central Highlands region

The Central Highlands region continued to decrease slightly in Thanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan .

Accordingly, the price of live pigs in Dak Lak today is 58,000 VND/kg. This is also the lowest price in the country. The remaining provinces in the region buy and sell at around 59,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

*Pig price in the Southern region

The South adjusted down one price in the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Kien Giang, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh and Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, traders in the South are purchasing live pigs at around 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. Of which, Ben Tre is the only province recording 60,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.

* In the first 9 months of 2024, Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials exported to the US market accounted for 13% of the country's total animal feed and raw material export turnover, reaching nearly 99.32 million USD, up 63.5%. Meanwhile, exports to China reached over 299.25 million USD, down 31.4% over the same period last year.

Exports to Cambodia reached 92.76 million USD, down 30.3%; Malaysia reached 84.86 million USD, down 13.2%. Exports of animal feed and raw materials to the Southeast Asian market reached nearly 234.31 million USD, down 18.4% over the same period last year, accounting for 31.1% of the total export turnover of animal feed and raw materials of the country.
