Gold prices are listed specifically as follows:

SJC Phu Quy Gold: 118.3 million VND/tael for buying, 121.3 million VND/tael for selling.

DOJI Gold in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: 119.3 million VND/tael for buying, 121.3 million VND/tael for selling.

PNJ Gold in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: 112 million VND/tael for buying, 116 million VND/tael for selling (down 2 million VND/tael for buying and 1 million VND/tael for selling).

The price of SJC gold bars and plain round gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 118.1 million VND/tael for buying (up 100,000 VND/tael), 121 million VND/tael for selling.

Experts say global trade tensions and the de-dollarization trend are the two main factors pushing gold prices up. Since the beginning of 2025, spot gold prices have increased by more than 25%, almost reaching the 27% increase for the whole of 2024.

“Gold is headed for a spectacular breakout year. Just like in the early 2000s, gold was bought heavily as prices rose, creating a self-reinforcing effect,” independent analyst Ross Norman told Reuters.

Although gold prices have fallen about $300 from a record $3,500 set a week ago, analysts believe the precious metal will still be supported by uncertainties in US tariff policy and expected protracted trade negotiations.

“Gold prices will continue to be driven by the volatility in other markets,” said Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank, who said the metal would remain attractive due to the de-dollarization trend and the impact of US tariffs on global economic growth.
