World gold price today 05/02/2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,216.45 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 2.78% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,405 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 102.3 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 19 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

According to Reuters, world gold prices fell to a two-week low, pressured by signs of easing trade tensions and holidays in some countries, while attention also focused on the US non-farm payrolls report on Friday to assess the economic outlook.
Spot gold fell 2.2% to $3,216.41 an ounce at 10:25 a.m. ET (1425 GMT), after hitting its lowest since April 14 earlier in the session. Prices hit a record $3,500.05 an ounce last week. U.S. gold futures fell 2.8% to $3,226.90.
“There are signs of upcoming trade deals and reports from China that the Trump administration has reached out. The risk-on trade is taking place, leading to some profit-taking in safe-haven gold,” said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
US President Donald Trump said trade deals could be reached with India, Japan and South Korea. He added there was a “very good chance” of reaching a deal with China.
Data on Wednesday showed the US economy contracted in the first quarter, and the US personal consumption expenditures price index was unchanged in March. All eyes now turn to the US non-farm payrolls report due on Friday.
Federal Reserve policymakers have indicated that interest rates will remain unchanged until there are clear signs of inflation falling back to the 2% target or the job market potentially weakening.
Lower interest rates and geopolitical uncertainty increase the appeal of non-yielding bullion.
“While the short-term correction is driven by improved market sentiment, the structural factors underpinning gold’s strength remain solid,” wrote Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank.
Spot silver fell 1.3% to $32.15, platinum lost 1.2% to $954.85 and palladium rose 0.4% to $941.14.
