The price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited, Bao Tin Minh Chau , DOJI Group and PNJ at 118.6-120.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell), a decrease of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
Currently, the difference between buying and selling prices of SJC gold bars at large companies is commonly at 2 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold at Phu Quy was traded by businesses at 117.9-120.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell), the gold price decreased by 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
At Mi Hong gold shop, the selling price of SJC gold bars decreased by half a million VND/tael, to 120 million VND/tael, and the buying price was 119 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling gold prices here is only 1 million VND/tael, half of the difference at large gold companies.
Similar to gold bars, domestic gold rings also decreased compared to yesterday. SJC 99.99% gold rings of 1 chi, 2 chi, 5 chi decreased by 400,000 VND in both directions, currently at 114-116.5 million VND/tael (buy-sell). According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 3,310.62 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.38% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,406 VND/USD), the world gold price is 105.3 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 15.3 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of major currencies, hovered near a two-week high, making gold less attractive to foreign buyers, Reuters reported, while the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury notes held near a three-week high.
"In the short term, I see the US dollar recovering slightly from its recent lows, which is taking some of the upward momentum out of gold... However, in the long term, gold prices are still quite well supported," said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Gold typically benefits in times of economic and political uncertainty, but is under pressure when interest rates are high, as the precious metal does not pay interest.
In other precious metals, spot silver fell 1% to $36.40 an ounce; platinum fell 0.3% to $1,355.69; while palladium lost 1.5% to $1,094.44 an ounce.
