Gold bar price Domestic prices increased sharply compared to yesterday morning, up from 400,000 VND to 800,000 VND/tael.
Specifically, on the morning of August 30, DOJI brand gold bars were bought at 127.4 million VND/tael; sold at 128.9 million VND/tael, an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
Gold bars of SJC, Bao Tin Minh Chau and PNJ brands were bought at 127.8 million VND/tael; sold at 129.3 million VND/tael, an increase of 800,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
Particularly, Phu Quy SJC brand gold bars are being bought at a price 1 million VND lower than other brands. Phu Quy gold bars are bought at 126.8 million VND/tael; sold at 129.3 million VND/tael, an increase of 800,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.

Domestic gold ring price today
Gold ring price today (August 30) increased sharply.
Specifically, SJC bought gold rings at 121 million VND/tael and sold at 123.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 900,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.
DOJI traded gold rings at 120.6 - 123.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.
Bao Tin Minh Chau gold rings are currently trading at 121.2 - 124.2 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 900,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.
PNJ buys gold rings at 120.7 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND/tael, and sells at 123.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 400,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.
Phu Quy traded gold rings at 120.7 - 123.7 million VND/tael, an increase of 700,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.
World gold price today
World gold price increased today, with spot gold at $3,447.95 an ounce. Global gold prices rose about 1% in the past 24 hours, or $27.25 an ounce. The precious metal has gained 4.8% in August. US gold futures for December delivery rose 1.2% to $3,515.70 an ounce.
With the domestic gold bar price increasing and the world gold price listed at Kitco at 3,447.95 USD/ounce (equivalent to about 110.2 million VND/tael converted according to Vietcombank exchange rate, excluding taxes and fees), the difference between domestic and world gold prices is about 19.1 million VND/tael.
Gold prices rose about 1% on Friday and were on track for their best monthly gain since April, as U.S. inflation data reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve could cut interest rates as early as next month.
U.S. household spending rose significantly in July, while core inflation rose as import tariffs made some products more expensive. The U.S. personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index rose 0.2% month-on-month and 2.6% year-on-year, in line with market expectations.
“We expect the Fed to cut rates once or twice by the end of the year, which is typically supportive of commodity prices, including gold and silver,” said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Investors have increased bets on a 25 basis point cut in the US policy rate at its September meeting, with the probability rising from 85% to 89% before the data was released.
Gold, which does not yield, typically performs well in a low-interest-rate environment. "Gold is benefiting from uncertainty surrounding the independence of the Fed, as evidenced by inflows into gold-backed ETFs, which reached almost 15 tonnes in the past two days," Commerzbank noted in a report.
Spot silver prices rose 2.1% to $39.89 an ounce, marking a fourth consecutive monthly gain.
Platinum rose 0.3% to $1,363.30 an ounce and was on track for a monthly gain, while palladium fell 0.1% to $1,101.85 an ounce, heading for a monthly decline.
