World gold price has decreased by 7.54% compared to the peak.

The US and China have agreed to suspend most tariffs on each other’s goods, a major de-escalation in the trade war between the world’s two largest economies, and this has had a strong impact on gold prices.

Compared to the all-time record of 3,500 USD/ounce set in April, the world gold price has decreased by 7.54% and is holding at 3,200 USD/ounce.

Currently, some analysts say that gold prices are still facing downward pressure due to declining demand for risk prevention.

This week, investors will wait for the US consumer price index (CPI) report for April, scheduled for release on Tuesday. The data is considered a sign of the impact of tariffs on the US economy, which can help predict the US Federal Reserve's interest rate cut in the near future.

The world's largest gold ETF, SPDR Gold Trust, bought a net 1.2 tons of gold on Monday, raising its holdings to 939.1 tons. Previously, the fund had three consecutive weeks of net selling.

Domestic gold price increased by half a million VND/tael

At the end of yesterday, the selling price of SJC gold bars was 119.5 million VND/tael, buying price was 117.5 million VND/tael. However, this morning, SJC Company raised the selling price of gold to 120 million VND/tael, buying price was 118 million VND/tael.

The price of 9999 gold rings also increased to 115 million VND/tael (selling), buying at 112.5 million VND/tael.

The difference between buying and selling prices is 2 million VND/tael for SJC gold bars and 2.5 million VND/tael for gold rings.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings today is 118.5 million VND/tael, buying price is 115 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling price is up to 3.5 million VND/tael.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 18 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price while the price of gold rings is 13 million VND/tael higher.
