Domestic gold price "surpasses" world price by more than 16 million

Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 118.5 - 120.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling, keeping the buying price the same and decreasing by half a million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning. The difference between buying and selling is 2 million VND/tael.

Other gold trading businesses also adjusted the price of SJC gold bars down to 120.5 million VND/tael.

The price of gold rings remained stable, and some businesses even increased slightly. Specifically, Phu Quy Jewelry Group and Saigon Jewelry Company both listed the price of gold rings at 112.5 - 115.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling, unchanged from yesterday morning.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 114.8 - 117.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 300,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

At the same time, the world gold price was listed at 3,299 USD/ounce, down 22 USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning. The world gold price is equivalent to nearly 104 million VND/tael.

Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 16 million VND/tael higher than the world price.

In the currency market, this morning the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,955 VND/USD, down 7 VND compared to yesterday morning.

The USD bank prices fluctuated. Specifically, Vietcombank listed the transaction at 25,760 - 26,150 VND/USD for buying and selling, unchanged from yesterday morning.

BIDV listed at 25,795 - 26,155 VND/USD, up 15 VND in both directions; Techcombank increased 10 VND in buying price and decreased 8 VND in selling price at 25,714 - 26,202 VND/USD; Eximbank listed at 24,310 - 26,200 VND/USD.

In the free market, the USD exchange rate decreased by 40 VND for buying and 50 VND for selling compared to yesterday morning to 26,280 - 26,380 VND/USD.
