High airfare, many people in Hai Duong choose to travel by car

Domestic airfares are currently 20-30% higher than the same period last year. On June 26, some domestic routes had high airfares such as: Hanoi - Nha Trang from 5.1-6.3 million VND/person; Hanoi - Da Lat from 4.5-6.4 million VND/person; Hanoi - Phu Quoc from 4.8-6.2 million VND/person... depending on flight time and airline. The above prices include both outbound and return flights; taxes and fees.

Due to high prices, the number of customers booking air tickets through travel agencies has decreased by 20-30% compared to the same period last year. These customers have switched to domestic tours nearby, mainly choosing to travel by car.

According to travel agencies, some nearby tourist destinations that are popular with tourists include: Do Son (Hai Phong), Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), Cua Lo (Nghe An), Ha Long (Quang Ninh), some resorts in Ba Vi (Hanoi), Ninh Binh... Tourists tend to stay for 2 days 1 night or 3 days 2 nights instead of long stays like every year.

Some domestic tours have shown signs of cooling down, such as to Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang... down 20-30% compared to last month. However, the number of visitors has not increased significantly.

As for foreign tours, despite high ticket prices, the number of tourists booking through travel agencies has not decreased compared to previous years. Popular tours are to Southeast Asian countries, Dubai, some European tours... This is a market that attracts customers with good financial resources.
