Gasoline prices increased sharply across the board, the highest price of gasoline is 21,060 VND/liter.

The new gasoline prices were jointly announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (October 10).

Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline increased by VND990/liter compared to the previous adjustment period, the new selling price is VND19,840/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND21,060/liter, after being adjusted up by VND1,260/liter compared to the retail price from October 3.

Also from 3:00 p.m. on October 10, the price of 0.05S diesel oil will not be higher than VND 18,500/liter (an increase of VND 1,100/liter compared to the current retail price); The price of kerosene will not be higher than VND 18,790/liter (an increase of VND 1,140/liter compared to the current retail price). Similarly, in this period, the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil will also increase by VND 910/liter compared to the previous period, the new selling price is VND 15,910/kg.

Gasoline prices increased simultaneously from the afternoon of October 10

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world oil market in this period of adjustment (from October 3 to 9) was affected by factors such as concerns about widespread conflict in the Middle East, a major storm hitting the US causing a sudden increase in fuel demand, ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, etc. The above factors caused world oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each commodity, but the upward trend is the main one.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on October 3 and the adjustment period on October 10 was: 81.934 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 5.344 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 6.98%); 88.272 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 6.462 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 7.90%); 89.678 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 6.174 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 7.39%); 89.974 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel (up 6.156 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 7.34%); 455.618 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 22.594 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 5.22%).

Since the beginning of the year, the prices of petroleum products have undergone 39 price adjustments, of which RON95 and E5RON92 gasoline have increased 19 times and decreased 20 times, diesel has increased 16 times and decreased 23 times, and fuel oil has increased 21 times and decreased 18 times.
