(CPV) – The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just adjusted the retail price of gasoline and oil in today’s adjustment period (September 21). The time of application is from 3:00 p.m. on September 21.
Specifically, after adjustment, E5RON92 gasoline increased by VND726/liter compared to the current retail price, with a selling price of VND24,197/liter. RON95-III gasoline increased by VND877/liter, to VND25,748/liter.
Oil prices were also adjusted upward, diesel 0.05S increased by 539 VND/liter, to 23,594 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 628 VND/liter, not higher than 23,816 VND/liter; mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 143 VND/liter, to 17,847 VND/kg.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this adjustment period (from September 11 to September 20) is affected by factors such as increased demand while OPEC+ restrains supply, tightens the market, economic prospects in the US and China are more positive while inventories decrease, the Fed decides to keep the basic interest rate unchanged but signals that there may be another increase later this year... The above factors cause oil prices from September 11 to September 20 to fluctuate up and down, but the general trend is up.
In this operating period, in light of the above-mentioned developments in world oil prices and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance jointly decided not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for fuel oil; and to use the Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline, diesel oil, and kerosene at the rate of VND300/liter.
