During the program, the Vietnam Green Building Council awarded the LOTUS green building certificate to Thai Hoa Palace, a symbolic building of the Nguyen Dynasty, part of the Hue Monuments Complex. Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said: “Applying green building standards, such as VGBC’s LOTUS, is a new but very necessary step in conservation thinking. It helps us not only restore the original value of the monument, but also ensure that the restored buildings can adapt well to climate conditions, operate energy-efficiently, are environmentally friendly and safe for users.”
Within the framework of the event, 100 honored guests, including the Korean Consul General in Da Nang City, representatives of Hue City leaders, agencies, departments, associations, businesses, Hue High School for the Gifted in Science , Quoc Hoc School... cycled in the city to promote the message of "Hue - Pioneer in developing green heritage tourism and a bicycle city".
