The 9th National Press Cup Football Tournament in 2025 promises to be extremely exciting.

Following the success of the previous 8 seasons, Press Cup 2025 is organized by Vietnam Family Magazine in collaboration with the Press Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) under the direction of the Vietnam Journalists Association . This is a major sporting event of the country's press, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

On May 19, the Press Conference and announcement of the Press Cup 2025 Finals took place in Hanoi . Accordingly, the tournament will take place from June 5 to June 7, 2025 at Tu Son City Stadium (Bac Ninh Province) with the participation of 8 typical teams selected by the Organizing Committee and the best teams from the regional qualifying rounds nationwide. The Organizing Committee of Press Cup 2025 applies the 7-a-side Football Law issued by the Vietnam Football Federation in 2023. This competition format will create exciting competition right from the group stage, requiring teams to have more elaborate and thorough preparation.

In particular, right after the tournament ends, the 2025 Press Cup champion will participate in the Super Cup match with the Thai Press Federation team on June 10 at My Dinh National Stadium. This is an opportunity for the press teams of the two countries to have the opportunity to exchange sports , culture and share experiences.

According to journalist Ho Minh Chien, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine and Head of the tournament's organizing committee, the Press Cup has long been an emotional sports meeting place, a place that connects journalists not only with their pens, but also with their love for the round ball. The Press Cup 2025 has many new features, is organized thoughtfully and professionally, and brings together many strong teams with high professional quality.
