Trump Group breaks ground on $1.5 billion project in Hung Yen

With an area of ​​approximately 990 hectares, the urban complex, eco-tourism , and Khoai Chau golf course is located in 7 communes: Tu Dan, Tan Chau, Dong Ket, Dong Ninh, Dai Tap, Lien Khe, and Chi Minh, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province. The project has a total investment of nearly 39,800 billion VND (equivalent to more than 1.5 billion USD).

This project is part of a strategic partnership between The Trump Organization - the family corporation of US President Donald Trump and Hung Yen Hospitality - a member of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC). This will be the first Trump-branded project in Vietnam, called Trump International Hung Yen.

At the groundbreaking ceremony on the afternoon of May 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the project is of great significance in promoting the Vietnam-US relationship to become increasingly deeper, more substantive, and more effective.

According to the Prime Minister, the presence of the Trump Group also affirms the confidence of foreign investors, including the US, in Vietnam in the context of leading enterprises such as Intel, Nike, Apple, Boeing, Nvidia... expanding their investments.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and representatives of investors pressed the button to start the 1.5 billion USD project in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen on the afternoon of May 21.

The Prime Minister also asked ministries, branches and Hung Yen province to closely coordinate and actively support to complete the project within 2 years, welcoming the APEC 2027 event in Vietnam.

Therefore, according to him, the group is very proud to bring the Trump legacy to a country with vision, vitality and strong growth rate like Vietnam.

Mr. Eric Trump also affirmed that the project will be completed within more than 2 years, with the goal of becoming a golf course that makes the whole region and the world "jealous".

KBC Chairman Dang Thanh Tam said that both Kinh Bac and The Trump Organization assessed Hung Yen as having the potential to become a leading golf and lifestyle destination in Asia from the first discussions.

Previously, from September 2024, Donald Trump's family group proposed investing in a mega project in Hung Yen through cooperation with Hung Yen Hospitality. On May 15, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision approving the investment policy for the project.

According to the plan, the project consists of 4 sub-areas, including an ecological residential area associated with a high-class golf course (population size of 3,500 people), an ecological residential area associated with an ecological golf course (1,800 people), a commercial and service urban area (29,700 people) and a green area and a theme park.

The golf course is planned on an area of ​​over 240 hectares with 54 holes, including a 36-hole course and an 18-hole course. In addition, the project also has 7.3 hectares of land allocated for social housing development and a 99-hectare thematic park.
