Binh Duong New City Football Tournament 2024 finds champion

(NLDO) - After more than 4 months of exciting competition, the amateur football tournament with the longest history and the largest number of participating teams in the country has ended with the third place match and the final on the evening of September 29.

This year's season, the Becamex IDC Cup 2024 Binh Duong New City Football Tournament attracted 176 teams from districts, towns, cities, agencies, unions, football clubs in Binh Duong province and qualified teams from outside the province.

The teams are divided into 4 qualifying round clusters, competing from June 25 to July 28, selecting the 16 teams with the highest results to compete in the final round.

On the evening of September 29, the final match of the final round found the champion of the tournament. In this match, Bamboo FC held Tu Nho FC to a 0-0 draw after the regular match and Bamboo FC won 3-1 overall after the penalty shootout.

At the closing ceremony and award ceremony, the organizing committee awarded prizes to the collectives and individuals who achieved good results in the final round. In particular, the champion of the tournament which has been maintained and developed for 20 years (17th season under the name Becamex IDC) is Bamboo FC, receiving the championship cup, gold medal and 100 million VND.

The runner-up team Tu Nho FC received a silver medal and 60 million VND; the third-place team Thang De FC received a bronze medal and 40 million VND and the fourth-place team XD Han Long received 20 million VND.

The individual awards are: Best Player: Nguyen Van Ut - Bamboo FC (10 goals); Best Goalkeeper: Nguyen Duc Cong - Tu Nho FC.
