On February 19 and 20, the Cultural Information - Sports Center of Trieu Phong district organized the 2024 Spring Chess Tournament.

The tournament had 40 athletes from communes, towns and some units in the district. Regarding the competition format: the tournament was conducted according to the Swiss system with adjustments in 5-7 rounds and applied the Chinese Chess Competition Rules issued by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in 2004 and the latest additions.
The tournament is held annually to create a useful and practical playground for athletes to meet, exchange, share expertise and compete.
At the same time, continue to maintain and promote the Campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho"; contribute to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people; promote the development of the movement of practicing and competing in Chinese chess in the district and select high-achieving athletes for the Trieu Phong District Chinese Chess Team to participate in provincial Chinese chess tournaments in the coming time.
