On the evening of January 25, information from Hanoi City Police said that at around 5:15 p.m. the same day, the Hanoi City Police Command Center received a fire alarm at a 6-storey house with an area of 75 square meters in Cau Giay District.
Authorities quickly controlled the fire.
According to authorities, the fire started in the worship room area on the second floor of the house, with the main combustible materials being household items such as beds, altar cabinets... Therefore, when the fire broke out, a lot of smoke spread to the upper floors.
After receiving the news, the Fire Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and 13 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.
3 people in the 6-storey house were rescued safely.
When approaching the scene, the fire police received information that there were people trapped in the fire, so they brought multi-purpose demolition equipment along with personal protective equipment, breathing apparatus..., to organize search and rescue on the floors.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Hanoi City Police) said that the police later rescued and brought out 3 people trapped on the 5th floor, including 1 person with a leg injury who could not move on his own.
After about 20 minutes of fire outbreak, the fire was completely extinguished.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
