Fire burned down 3 houses in Hoa Lac commune

On the morning of September 9, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Lac Commune (An Giang Province) Huynh Van Hoang said that a fire had just broken out in the commune, burning down 3 houses and partially burning one house.

The fire damaged four houses.

According to initial information, at about 6:20 p.m. on September 8, Mr. Le Van Tien (born in 1971, residing in Hoa Phat hamlet , Hoa Lac commune ) discovered a fire from the main house of Mr. Pham Qui Tinh (born in 1980, in group 9, Hoa Phat hamlet) spreading to neighboring houses.

Because Mr. Tinh's house was locked from the inside and could not be entered, Mr. Tien shouted for help, along with many other people, to put out the fire and call the local authorities, police, and fire department.

Upon receiving the news, Hoa Lac Commune Police, Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Chau Doc, Phu Tan, Tan Chau areas immediately arrived at the scene to coordinate with local forces and people to control and extinguish the fire.

By around 8pm the same day, the fire was under control and completely extinguished. However, the fire had burned down 3 houses and 1 was partially burned. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.

The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated, verified and clarified by the authorities.
