
In Dong Thap , visitors begin their journey at landmark 232 at Dinh Ba International Border Gate, which marks the steadfast spirit of the border army and people in the fight to protect the Fatherland. Next is landmark 235 at Moc Ra Border Gate, a special double landmark located next to So Thuong River, demonstrating the efforts to demarcate and plant markers on complex terrain. The final stop in the locality is landmark 240 at Thuong Phuoc International Border Gate, where busy road and river trade routes converge.

Arriving in An Giang, the journey continues at milestone 275 at Tinh Bien International Border Gate, a bustling trading center of the Southwestern border region. Tinh Bien Market offers visitors unique cultural experiences, with strong Vietnamese-Khmer interweaving. In particular, milestones 301, 313 and 314 in Giang Thanh - Ha Tien have helped visitors deeply feel the significance of protecting the national border.

In addition, visitors also stopped to offer incense at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs and Youth Volunteers on Route 1C, and visited Mac Cuu Tomb, places associated with the work of opening up, exploring and preserving the southwesternmost land of the Fatherland.

The journey “Border Imprints” is considered an educational – experiential – community tourism product, helping visitors better understand the sacred meaning of border sovereignty , while contributing to promoting the image of the honest, resilient and hospitable people of the Southwest region.






Many visitors expressed their impressions of the charming river landscape and the historical stories associated with each milestone. The journey also brought a sense of pride when witnessing the “borders of peace”, where the two countries’ armies and people maintain friendly and cooperative relations.

The program was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in coordination with localities from October 23 to 25, with the participation of many travel agencies and tourism service units in the city. According to Mr. Nguyen Huu An, Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism Resource Development Planning (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism), the survey aims to research and develop new tourism products associated with border experiences, contributing to diversifying tourism products to the source, strengthening the development linkage between Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Thap - An Giang and creating a unique identity for tourism in the Mekong Delta region.


Mr. An added that the "Border Imprint" tour could become a typical tourist route, helping visitors explore the beauty of the border region, understand more about history, culture and civic responsibility in preserving national sovereignty.
