Vietnam Road Administration ( Ministry of Construction ) informed that with the efforts of road management units, the Administration has mobilized maximum human resources, equipment and construction materials throughout the night with the highest determination after the impact of storm No. 12 in the Central region. Up to this point, many national highways and expressways have been opened to traffic.

As of 6:00 p.m. on October 27, 2025, some points on the national highway that were congested due to deep flooding or large landslides were being actively repaired. At these locations, there were plans to organize traffic from a distance to ensure safety and avoid congestion.

Specifically, on National Highway (QL) 1, the flood water in the section Km808+00-Km810+00 ( Hue City) is about 50 cm deep, causing traffic jams. The Department's remote traffic diversion plan follows the route: Hai Van Tunnel - QL1 - Cam Lo - La Son Expressway - QL1 and vice versa.

Ho Chi Minh Road, La Son - Hoa Lien section, is flooded and causing traffic jams at 2 points (Km12+300 and Km14+00, Hue City area). Traffic is being organized, barricaded and diverted on Cam Lo - La Son route in the North - South direction. When reaching the intersection of Km101+200, turn onto National Highway 1 to continue going South along National Highway 1; vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 in the South - North direction, at Km933+082, turn left onto National Highway 14B, at Km23+908/National Highway 14B, turn right and follow the Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel to go North.

Ho Chi Minh Road (Lo Xo Pass area) is experiencing a landslide causing traffic jam at Km1407+800, and is expected to be open to traffic by 11pm on October 27, 2025. However, the weather in the area is still rainy, so there is a high risk of further landslides causing traffic jams. It is recommended that vehicles follow National Highway 19 or National Highway 24 to connect traffic between National Highway 1 and Ho Chi Minh Road.

National Highway 49B (Hue City) is also flooded, causing traffic jams at 7 points (Km5+050, Km5+870, Km7+500, Km10+450, Km15+750, Km16+150, Km43+300). Barriers are being set up to direct traffic through the local road system; National Highway 24C (Da Nang City) currently has the Ca Da bridge abutment (Km85+095/National Highway 24C) eroded, causing traffic jams. The road management unit is filling the bridge with stream gravel to temporarily open it to motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles.

The Vietnam Road Administration is continuing to direct units to urgently overcome and closely coordinate, supporting localities to clear traffic jams as soon as possible.
