Talks on cooperation in border economic development

On October 27, at Mong Cai 1 ward, the Management Board of Quang Ninh Economic Zone together with a number of departments, branches and localities of Quang Ninh province held talks with the delegation of the People's Government of Dong Hung City, Fangchenggang, Guangxi (China) on a number of cooperation contents in border gate economic development.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed to strengthen coordination in implementing the construction of the smart border gate Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dongxing (China), developing cross-border industrial cooperation zones, promoting import-export, immigration and border management activities. The two sides also discussed the mechanism for coordinating investment promotion, connecting infrastructure and sharing information to serve the development of border trade economy between the two localities; contents related to promoting cross-border economic development cooperation, coordinating investment promotion and progress of construction of the smart border gate Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dongxing (China).

Previously, the two sides' working delegations conducted a field survey at Bac Luan I Bridge, Bac Luan II Bridge, Hai Yen Industrial Park and Van Ninh General Port - key locations that play an important role in forming a smart border gate system and logistics center in the border area.

The talks took place in a friendly and open atmosphere, demonstrating the determination of both sides to expand substantive and effective cooperation to build the Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dongxing (China) border gate area into a model of modern development, connecting smoothly between the two countries.

The team surveyed the actual construction of Van Ninh general port.

This activity contributes to concretizing the cooperation agreement between Quang Ninh province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and at the same time opens up many new opportunities in trade, investment and economic development along the Vietnam-China border in the coming time.
