US leads recovery thanks to hybrids and SUVs
In the US, September sales reached 185,748 vehicles, up 14.2%. Year-to-date sales reached 1,865,876 vehicles (+7.9%), thanks to high demand for hybrid models and the restoration of production of large SUVs such as the Lexus TX and Toyota Grand Highlander compared to the same period last year.

Europe increased steadily, Yaris contributed
Europe recorded a 5.7% increase in September, equivalent to 112,613 vehicles. The cumulative 9 months reached 895,099 vehicles (+2.2%). Toyota assessed that this market is stable, with production increasing year by year, in which Yaris is one of the models that contributed positively.
Asia Divided: China Stagnates Monthly, India Increases Steadily
China: New electric vehicles support cumulative stability
Toyota sold 158,913 vehicles in China in September (-1%). However, the cumulative nine-month increase was 4.9% to 1,301,741 vehicles. The presence of the all-electric Toyota bZ3X helped maintain sales momentum as subsidies in some regions ended and consumers waited for discounts at local auto shows.

India: High-riding SUVs maintain demand
Sales in India increased 12.3% year-on-year, thanks to the steady performance of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross models.

Southeast Asia: Contrast between Thailand and Indonesia
Thailand saw a 0.3% increase in production, helped by the new Yaris Ativ, despite tighter credit conditions. In contrast, cumulative sales in Indonesia fell 14% through September, hit by stricter lending procedures and new taxes. Other markets such as Taiwan (-3%) and Malaysia (-2.4%) also declined.
Japan: monthly decrease due to production impact, cumulative increase still
Toyota sold 128,162 vehicles in Japan in September (-5.2%). The nine-month figure reached 1,128,125 vehicles (+5.7%). The monthly decline was related to the restart of production lines following the Prius recall last year.

Other areas: scattered growth
- Latin America: +2.7%
- Oceania: +0.8%
- Middle East: +2.4%
- Africa: +12.6%
Looking to the end of the year: dynamics and risks
Toyota’s main drivers are currently hybrid demand in the US, flagship models in Europe and a small contribution from pure electric vehicles in China. However, the picture may change due to macroeconomic fluctuations, tax policies and electrification progress in each country. The ability to quickly adapt products and output will be the decisive factor in maintaining growth momentum in the final quarter of the year.
