The conference was chaired by Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the development of collective economy and cooperative economy of the province. Also attending were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of relevant departments and branches; representatives of mass organizations such as the Farmers' Association and the Provincial Women's Union.

Establish 200 new cooperatives
The conference is an opportunity for typical cooperatives to share experiences and effective production models, and at the same time recommend and propose solutions to overcome difficulties in order to develop an increasingly strong collective economic sector.
The report of the Provincial People's Committee shows that after 5 years of implementation, the basic goals and targets of Project 1958 have all achieved positive results. In the province, 200 new cooperatives have been established, bringing the total number of effectively operating cooperatives to 61.8%, an increase of more than 10% compared to before the project. In particular, the province has issued a policy to support the establishment of new agricultural cooperatives, in the period 2021-2025, 158 cooperatives were supported with a total amount of more than 7.7 billion VND.

In addition to the achievements, there are still some limitations: The targets have not been met, such as the rate of rural workers participating in cooperatives is still low, the average income of workers in cooperatives is not high. By 2025, the average income of a regular worker in a cooperative is 5.5 million VND/person/month, not meeting the project target (7-8 million VND/person/month).
In particular, the management capacity of cooperative staff is still weak, and access to policies on land, capital, digital transformation and trade promotion is still a major "bottleneck".
Regarding the Trade Promotion Program associated with the Economic Cooperation and Cooperative Forum, after 6 years of implementation, Nghe An has organized and coordinated 43 trade promotion activities. Including 6 regional trade promotion conferences, 4 green fairs, 5 rural markets and participated in 28 fairs outside the province. Thereby, hundreds of OCOP products and Nghe An regional specialties were promoted, introduced and product consumption contracts were signed.

Creating favorable conditions for cooperatives to develop sustainably
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the field of collective economy and trade promotion in the recent period.
To continue to develop and further improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives, including trade promotion activities of the collective economic sector and cooperatives, in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested provincial departments, branches, and the Provincial Cooperative Union to focus on performing well a number of tasks:

The Cooperative Alliance is assigned to take the lead in advising on the development of the cooperative economic development project for the 2026-2030 period, focusing on key tasks: promoting awareness of the collective economy, providing legal support, promoting value chain linkages, improving competitiveness and market connectivity.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "The collective economy, with the core being cooperatives, will continue to be an important pillar of the local economy. Nghe An is determined to support, remove difficulties, and create favorable conditions for cooperatives to develop sustainably, contributing together with the state economy to become a solid foundation of the national economy."

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in directing and organizing the implementation of collective economic development in the 2021 - 2025 period in the province.
