In the first days of opening, many people and tourists of all ages visited the book stalls, making Mr. Viet Thang unable to hide his joy: "When seeing children eagerly participating in book-related activities, we - a unit with many children's book sections, feel excited to be able to spread many publications for children and parents."

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, the special point of this fair is the opportunity for direct exchange between bookmakers and readers, something that online channels can hardly replace. “The art books of Dong A company, from content to cover design, can only be fully appreciated when touched and viewed directly… We hope that the fair will become a meaningful occasion to promote reading culture, so that each book can truly 'touch' the hearts of readers,” Mr. Thang expressed.

At the exhibition area of the Literature Publishing House, the neatly arranged bookshelves with a variety of genres also attracted a large number of readers to stop by. The booth representative shared: “Coming to this fair, the Literature Publishing House brings all its strong book lines, from classic literature, modern literature, children's literature, to literature, history, culture, politics , to introduce to readers truly valuable works. For bookmakers like us, the greatest joy is to see readers interested in and reading more books. In an era where there are so many attractive forms of entertainment, the habit of reading is gradually being forgotten, especially for young children. Therefore, when we see the children coming here, attentively turning each page of the book, we are really touched.”

The representative of the Literature Publishing House believes that books are still the silent teachers who help to cultivate the soul and knowledge of each person: “When children read books, they will remember longer and understand more deeply. The values in books gradually penetrate, nurture their personality, help them learn better, be better at languages and be more emotional. That is what we hope, through each book, to convey humanistic values, helping children develop comprehensively both intellectually and spiritually.”

Binh An is happy to participate in the fair and read his favorite books.

Passionately choosing each book on the shelf, smiling brightly, Binh An, a student at Nila Primary School in Hanoi, shared: “I feel very happy and love this book space. I like reading Harry Potter, the World Famous People series, coloring books and world history stories. Thanks to reading books, I learn many more interesting things such as stories about nature, historical knowledge of the country, or lessons that help me learn better Vietnamese, Math, English and many other subjects...”.

Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the fair, Mr. Hai Long (Ha Dong district, Hanoi) stopped for a long time at the book display area. For him, this is a precious "quiet corner" among the bustling crowd. Mr. Hai Long shared: "When I come to the fair, the first thing I want to visit is the book display area. The space here is very diverse, helping young people have more opportunities to develop a reading culture. Personally, because I love history, I am especially interested in historical and philosophical books, as well as publications on protecting the Party's ideological foundation or memoirs of historical figures, such as books by Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, for example."

Mr. Hai Long (Ha Dong, Hanoi) especially loves books about Vietnamese history and politics.

Mr. Long believes that spaces like book fairs are an important bridge to bring books closer to the public, especially the youth: “Currently, many young people are interested in reading, but sometimes they have not found a suitable genre or are afraid to go to bookstores. Fairs like this help you go out, read, explore and choose your favorite books, from literature to politics and history. This is a great way to spread reading culture in the community.”
